In HNB, our taurillon leathers are from Rémy Carriat Tannery. In 1927, Rémy Carriat chose to set up his business in his village, by the edge of the Latsa stream, a tributary of the Nive river, water being an essential ingredient in dye and leather production. A “taurillon” is an approximately one-year-old bovine that is neither a young calf nor a bull. Gochoki Taurillon is achieved by lightly buffing the grain of the leather.
