To extend our love of this brilliant leather, we use Black Wax Buttero for our first racing style strap in full hand stitching. A dense black wax has been stuffed on one side of the leather, fully covered the striking color underneath. The black wax will wear off naturally over time. A smooth pleasant hand feel with a bit of rigidity to help it build character continuously. Our Rally Strap is in 2.5mm thickness, only available in 20mm and 22mm lug widths. Each color is in a matching thread with the leather base (reverse side of the leather surface), where you will notice on the strap holes. We agree that one does not need a handful of Rally straps, however, it is cool to own at least one to complete your strap collection. You will love it when you put it on your speedy and chronographs!
Black Wax Buttero "Black Burro" Vegetable Tanned Leather comes from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Italy. They are well known for their premium vegetable tanned leathers and the beautiful colors are able to produce. This special leather has a matte black wax finish that will polish up and patina over time exposing more and more of the beautiful color beneath. The wax is durable and will take some effort to remove. There may be some marks in the black coatings, they will remove over time with use.
